(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Energy Agency has received six bids for the – design, supply, installation and commissioning of 10 Solar Carport for EV Charging Stations to be placed across the country.
This is according to the tender minutes released by the National Procurement and Tender Board (NPTAB) on Thursday.
Companies include Green Power Solutions Inc., Andrect Engineering and Construction, DM Family Trade and Digital Services, Green Energy Electrical Services, Smart Energy Limited, and General Procurement and Construction Inc.
According to GEA’s tender document, the 10 locations where the carports will be installed are at 50/50 Sports Bar, Vreed-en-Hoop, Region Three; Ogle Airport, Giftland Office Max, KK Service Station on the East Coast of Demerara; and at the Providence Cricket Stadium (at two sites), East Bank Demerara, Region Four.
The other locations are at Rosignol Fisherman’s Coop Society Ltd, Yas Karan Singh Service Station, Nand Persaud Company Ltd., Tain in Region Six, and at the Linden Technical Institute in Region Ten.
This publication understands that the carports will provide shelter for vehicles while producing electricity.
