– Stable won two races one second one fourth

Kaieteur Sports – The Js Horse Racing stable has not been too long into horseracing but are turning heads already as they move forward in leaps and bounds.
At the Kennard Memorial Turf Club Boxing Day Horserace meet they were dominant as they took champion stable honours with two classical victories, a second place and a fourth. It was the day for Mapa Do Brazil of the Js Racing stable to shine.
The event which was held at the entity’s Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice racetrack, had over $10M at stake. A bumper crowd was in attendance and turfites were treated to a day of riveting horseracing.
The feature event, which was open to all horses in Guyana, had all the takings of a main card. Competing for the Sunny Kharag stakes over one mile worth over $4M for a winning purse of $2M and trophy.
The animals were out of the gate in a flash with front runners, Order and Progress and Loyal Company setting a merry gallop. Mapa Do Brazil of the Js Racing Stable with Renaldo Appadhu on the perch was biding his time within the pack.
As the horses began to close in on the finish, Mapa Do Brazil began to make its move down the middle of the track and came through with a burst of speed to edge home for the big win. Stable mate Order and Progress raced in fourth behind Loyal Company second and Anthem King third.
There was a ding dong battle in the five furlongs sprint classic between Stats of the Master Z Racing Stable and Regal Man of the J Racing Stale. A photo finish decided the winner with Stats getting the nod to take the $700,000 and trophy from Regal Man. Night Becon and Morning colours rounded out the money.
The J’s Racing Stable was again in winners’ row, in the G and lower race. It was a good day for owner Jermain Sirpaul as Mulan with Appadhu in the stirrups whipped its opponents for a gate to pole beating over Red Ruby and Theory of Colours.
The event for Guyana-Bred 2-year-old maiden animals was won by – All The Time ahead of She’s A Dancer and Miracle Boy.
Country Rock beat off Top Gun and Sarkar to win the race for “I” and lower horses.
There was a double win for Country Rock of the Big G stable as it won the race for L and K class animals from Republican and Sarkar.
Regal Surprise, Doctor J, Miss Simpson and She’s a Monica occupied the top four spots in the L class event.
The top stable was Js Racing stable ahead of Big G Racing Stable. Renaldo Appadhu was the top Jockey. They received incentives, complements of Trophy Stall.
The event was conducted using the rules of the KMTC and was incident free.
