(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry Culture, Youth & Sports has received three proposals for firms interested in designing and building an international cricket field at the Cricket Academy to be established at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.
At the recent opening of bids at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office, it was revealed that Superior Group Inc., VMR Investment, and GT Pro Construction Inc and Trinidad Pro Construction Ltd. applied for the project.
Additionally, two bids were received for the procurement and installation of flood lights for the Cricket Academy.
Kaieteur News previously reported that the academy will be a state-of-the-art facility located on a 20-acre plot at Good Hope. The academy promises to be a major step forward for cricket in Guyana, solidifying the nation’s position as a powerhouse in regional cricket.
