Kaieteur News – A 19-year-old man told police on Tuesday that he had no knowledge of the cocaine and marijuana they found stashed near a stall he owns at Charity Back Street, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
The man was identified as Osay Tobin and according to police 28.8 grams of cocaine and 115.6 grams of cannabis were found near his vending quarters.
Police reportedly received intelligence and decided to search his stall. They found nothing inside the stall, but in a bushy area close by, they found a transparent plastic bag containing the cocaine and a black bag containing the marijuana.
Despite denying he had knowledge of the drugs; he was taken into custody for further questioning.
Investigations continue.
