Before that, they will compete in the semi-final segment Saturday at two venues in Scarborough as well with both matches commencing at 9am simultaneously.
Defending champions Caribbean Sensation will tackle Enmore at the adjacent venue, Littles, while Mercenary will confront Better-Hope at St. Bedes.
For the consolation trophy, four sides will battle for the championship honours as well with the final staging on Sunday same time at Littles.
Bacchus Ruff Ryders will clash with Malvern All-Stars while Essequibo Coast Cricket Club coming up against Ramblers. Both games have been fixed for Ellesmere on Saturday before the two winners return the next day.
Mercenary buoyed by their 15 and 10-over trophies this season will be looking to recapture the T20 trophy since they relinquished it in 2023 to Berbice Vipers.
Caribbean Sensation, no doubt, will want to come out and fire all cylinders to keep possession of the title.
Sensation finished at number 2 on the points’ standing behind Mercenary who racked up 14 wins including two walk-overs to remain unbeaten.
Enmore (9 wins) also played competitive cricket sitting at number 3 while Better-Hope carved out nine victories out of their 14 encounters.
Rabindra Diaram is leading the wicket-column representing Mercenary having 24 scalps while high-profile batter and former Guyana youth player Rovendra Mandolall ended with 496 runs, the most. Mandolall is playing for Better-Hope.
Fans indeed will be anxious to witness the top four teams but still they can anticipate exciting cricket from the other two semi-final games.
In addition to the exceptional performances from Diaram and Mandolall thus far, Mercenary’s pugnacious, opening batsman Avish Rukhram with 433 runs and Reyaz Prahalad, who is plying his trade for Enmore got 317. Sunil Ramkissoon of Better-Hope also in the top 5 with 315 runs while Faheer Juman chalked up 259 runs to be at number 5 in the runs-column.
Ramkissoon, one of softball’s versatile all-rounders, has 21 wickets to be in the number 2 position with Sudesh Beharry (15) from Enmore in 3 and his fellow teammate Shiv Persaud (14) and Daven Parasram (13) who is bowling for Malvern All-Stars.
Meanwhile, at the conclusion of the two finals on Sunday, there will be a presentation ceremony.
President Persaud, who hails from Enmore, East Coast Demerara and other executive members are expected to grace the occasion and take part in the presentation of prizes.
The 8-team tournament which began in June is being played in honour of former leader of the OSCL Kenny Girdharry.
