Kaieteur News – Today yuh gon see Guyanese with dem necks bend down whole day, like de phone screen got gold hiding inside. Every lil second, swipe, scroll, refresh, scroll again. Is like dem expecting de Elections Commission gon leak results on Facebook before de polls even close. Some people done peep in dem phone so much, dem thumb gon need therapy tomorrow.
But leh me tell yuh plain. Yuh nah gon see no results today. Not even on television. Yet people gan still searching like de votes hiding in somebody WhatsApp status. By midnight tonight, don’t fool yuhself. De big political parties gon know who win and who lose. Dem does count demself. But dem does smile nice, keep straight face, and wait fuh de official call because dat is de game. And since dem bound to silence, yuh bound to speculation.
De real trick to know? Simple. Watch people face. If one set smiling and hugging, de other set gon look like dem bite pepper. But you nah gon spot dat till tomorrow midday when dem can’t hide it no more.
So stop wasting time burning up yuh data. Stop ringing people whole day asking “Yuh hear anything?” Nobody hear nuttin till de right time. Instead of scrolling Facebook like a madman, go mek a cook-up, clean yuh yard, or take a lil nap.
Dem boys seh de votes nah gon fly away. De results nah gon run and hide. Patience is de only app yuh need to download today. And remember no matter who win, most of we gat to go to wuk the next day!
