Kaieteur News- The bullet ridden body of a taxi driver was found on Thursday inside a drain at Victory Valley, Wismar Linden, Region Ten.
Police identified the dead man as Ron Clarke, 30, of William Street, Kitty, Georgetown and 76 Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden.
His remains were reportedly found around 19:15 hrs.
A teen construction worker was reportedly waling along a street in Victory Valley when he saw Clarke motionless drain.
He immediately alerted persons who removed the motionless Clarke from the drain. They placed him in a passing car and taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where doctors there told them that he was dead.
An examination of his body revealed that he was shot several times.
Five gunshot injuries were seen to his right arm, another two were seen to his groin, one to his right hip and six to his right thigh.
A warhead was also found stuck in his brief.
Police were called in crime scene ranks were sent to the location where Clarke’s bullet ridden body was found.
Police said, one pair of blood stained black and white Adidas Slippers along with some 9MM spent shells were seen on the southern side of the street where he was found.
Several persons have since been questioned as investigations continue.
