Kaieteur News – Dem boys seh de politics in dis country tun vindictive like sour tamarind. And it get one man at de center, runnin’ scared like he see he own shadow whisperin’ “election.” Every move, every crackdown, every sudden audit on rivals got one fingerprint—his.
Dis is a man who seh he love democracy, but only when it vote fuh he. De minute anybody open dem mouth and seh, “but wait,” he pull out de big book of revenge and start flipping pages. Dem boys seh de man don’t sleep at night—he too busy dreamin’ up new ways to squeeze, silence, or shut down anybody who nah bow and scrape.
But leh we be honest—none of this should surprise anybody. Is like deja vu wid a vengeance. We been here before. De same tactics, same playbook. Dem use state agencies like fly swatter—except dem don’t swat flies, dem swat critics, rivals, and even old friends.
Talk one thing, do another. Talk development, but weaponize de government agencies against anybody who vex dem. Democracy supposed to be a choir, not a one-man karaoke show!
De man claim he defendin’ de people. But is which people? Not de small man who still cyan get water or decent health care and who reeling from de cost of living. He protectin’ class interest—de same fat cats who sip champagne while de rest drinking pipe water from a trench.
Dem boys seh dis ain’t politics no more. Is paranoia in full swing. De man see enemies like rice in a pot—plenty, and boilin’ over.
But here de kicker—he tink people blind. He tink people forget de past. But de people remember. And dem startin’ to whisper: if yuh gat to crush people to stay in power, maybe yuh never really had it to begin with.
Dem boys seh Guyana need fairness, not autocrats in disguise. And one man shouldn’t be allowed to run scared while de whole country runnin’ backwards.
Talk half. Leff half
