Starnieuws -The NDP, NPS, ABOP, Pertjajah Luhur, BEP and A20 have just signed a letter of intent to form a coalition together. According to the preliminary count, the parties currently have 34 seats, good enough to elect NDP Chairman Jennifer Simons as the first female president of Suriname.
The letter of intent was signed by the Chairmen Jennifer Simons (NDP), Gregory Russia (NPS), Ronnie Brunswijk (ABOP), Paul Somohardjo (Pertjajah Luhur), Ronnie Asabina (BEP) and Steven Reyme (A20).
The letter of intent states that there is an urgent need to tackle the many problems facing the country. That is why coalitions were formed as soon as possible. The VHP is the only party that has been left behind. Partner ABOP has turned its back on the VHP.
