Chase’s Academic and Dolphin Secondary book spots in 2025 Milo/Massy U18 Football final
Kaieteur Sports- After a brief pause due to heavy rainfall, the Petra Organisation concluded the semi-final stage of the 11th Annual Milo/Massy Secondary Schools Under-18 Football Championship, with Dolphin Secondary and Chase’s Academic Foundation securing victories to earn their places in the highly anticipated final. The championship decider is set for Sunday at the Ministry of Education Ground.

On the grandest stage of secondary school football, Dolphin Secondary earned their spot in the final with a commanding 3-1 win over West Ruimveldt Secondary. The match kicked off with high intensity, and Dolphin thought they had taken an early lead, only for the goal to be overturned due to a late handball call.
West Ruimveldt quickly shifted into a defensive stance as Dolphin dominated possession. Thanks to some outstanding goalkeeping, West Ruimveldt managed to keep the scores level through to halftime, which ended 0-0.
The breakthrough came in the 60th minute when Collin David-Frank clinically finished to give Dolphin a deserved lead. His brother, Ezekiel David-Frank, doubled the advantage just four minutes later, slicing through the defence with a brilliant run down the left wing before calmly slotting the ball into the net.
Ezekiel struck again 17 minutes later, further extending Dolphin’s lead and all but sealing the result. Although Jeremiah Griffith managed to score a consolation goal for West Ruimveldt in the 82nd minute, it was too little, too late. Dolphin Secondary held on for a convincing 3-1 win.
In the second semi-final, a resilient 10-man Chase’s Academic Foundation edged Waramuri Secondary 7-6 in a nail-biting penalty shootout after a 3-3 draw in regulation time.
Extra time decided fate between Chase’s Academic Foundation and Waramuri Secondary.
The defending champions raced to a 2-0 lead with early goals from Bryan Wharton and Isaiah Ifill. However, Waramuri launched a spirited comeback, starting in the 51st minute with a thunderous strike from Rondell Peters. Edlon Lewis equalized in the 77th minute, and Peters added a second in the 86th to give Waramuri a 3-2 lead.
But Ifill stepped up again, netting an equalizer just three minutes later to force extra time. With no goals scored in the added period, the match was decided on penalties. Chase’s Academic Foundation ultimately prevailed 7-6, booking their ticket to the final.
The tournament is sponsored by Nestlé Milo and Massy Distribution, with additional support from MVP Sports, Fireside Grill, the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. It is sanctioned by the Ministry of Education.
