Kaieteur News- Yuh does gat to know a ting or two about cars when yuh taking it to de mechanic. Dem boys she, some people know so lil ’bout car, dem shouldn’t even own a bicycle!

One man carry he car by de mechanic fuh change he oil. After de mechanic done do de wuk, he come out and seh, “Bossman, I change de oil, but yuh brake light fluid looking low.”

De man rub he chin, squint he eye and seh, “Yuh know, I don’t think I ever change dat before. Go ahead and… Wait! Brake light fluid? Yuh think I stupid? Car ain’t got brake light fluid!”

De mechanic laugh and seh, “Alright, alright, yuh catch me. I was just testing if you paying attention. But seriously, you need a tire rotation.”

De man puff up and holler, “Rotate? Girl, my tires does rotate every time I drive! Yuh think I born yesterday?!”

Den yuh had this case of a man turn up by a rum shop braggin’ how he was a big-time mechanic. He seh he wuk pon all kinda vehicle — from donkey cart to aeroplane. People deh listening, sipping deir high wine, nodding like dem believe.

Then he meet a real heart surgeon who park he car by de corner for a lil tune-up. Dis “mechanic” man seh, “Big man, you and me duin de same thing. You open up chest, fix valve and sew back. Me open up engine, fix valve and screw back. But you drivin’ big SUV and I ridin’ bicycle!”

De surgeon sip he coconut water calm calm and seh, “Big man, next time try fix de engine while it still running.”
