2025 DCB U19 Inter-Association 50-Over tournament
Kaieteur Sports- Good all-round cricket from Georgetown and West Demerara earned them strong wins yesterday as action in the ongoing DCB U19 tournament continued across the county.
At Transport, Select XI won the toss and elected to Bat but only made 121 all out in 30.5 overs with contributions from Yannick Newton who hit three sixes in his 31 and Kishwan Silas (23).
GCA In-form spinner Dave Mohabir claimed 3-11, with help from fellow spinner Riyad Latif, who grabbed 3-15, as their team eventually raced to 122-1.
Man-of-the-Match Romeo Deonarine led with an attractive 64 (9×4 1×6) as Shiloh Adams chipped in with 39 (1×4 2×6), leaving Select XI’s Dhanesh Persaud (1-15) as the most successful bowler.
At Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Demerara beat East Bank by 8 wickets after knocking over their opponents for 92 in 29.2 overs.
The pair of Deonarine Dindyal (23) Jovind Duncan (22) emerged as the main scores, as Udesh Seetaram bagged 4-49 with help from Navendra Sankar (2-17) and Parmeshwar Ram (2-13).
WDCA in reply cruised to 94-2 in 14.1 overs after the duo of Sachin Balgobin, who struck 38 with seven fours and all-rounder Kelvin Raymond (35) hammering three fours and a six.
