Kaieteur News- A driver was caught on camera Thursday jumping a traffic light, then colliding with a canter truck, before fleeing the scene at the University of Guyana (UG) Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).

The accident occurred at 12:38 hrs, according to a video posted by Pixel Guyana Inc. on Facebook.
The driver of the vehicle was seen jumping a red light before hitting a canter truck which had the right of way. Kaieteur News observed that after the collision, the driver, along with another occupant, exited the car and moved it to the side. The driver then fled the scene, leaving the damaged canter behind.
It is unclear whether the driver has been arrested.
