Kaieteur News- A 28-year-old Office Assistant was on Monday night robbed of his black Honda Navi motorcycle, CP 234, along the UG Access Road, Turkeyen, Georgetown.
The victim, Onix Duncan, an Executive Member of the Alliance for Change (AFC), said that he was attacked in the vicinity of the Guyana Forensic Science Laboratory (GFSL).
In an interview with Kaieteur News, Duncan said he was heading south along the UG Access Road when the two bandits armed with cutlasses pounced on him. They were reportedly riding a black motorcycle.
“I was coming from a northern direction down UG road. So, I’m heading south. Upon approaching the forensic lab building, before I approach, they rode up next to me and the pillion rider he was the one that stretched over and tried to turn the bike off or pull out the keys. When that happened, he didn’t get to turn the bike off fully so I guess the bike kinda started to slow down because it was between on and off and the bike started to slow down and that’s when I fell off the bike,” he detailed.
Duncan said he tried to pull the keys from the motorcycle and tried to run off “but I couldn’t.”

my toes and my right foot when I fell. I also got a bruise on my back from the lash that I sustained from the suspect.”

“Efforts so far to locate the suspects and the motorcycle have been without success,” police said in a statement.
Several persons were questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
Additionally, on Tuesday morning, Duncan went to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters and provided another statement on the incident. He said the police indicated that surveillance footage from the area will be reviewed as part of their investigation.
