Kaieteur Sports – Classy half-centuries from Parmeshwar Ram and Emmanuel Lewis, backed by some clinical bowling, piloted Guyana to a mammoth 147-run win over Leewards when the final round ended yesterday at the Liberta Sports Club Ground, Antigua.

Captain Adrian Hetmyer (left) and Vice-captain Emmanuel Lewis showed out with the bat during the final round.
The Guyanese youngsters posted another formidable score during their final run in the tournament, piling on 258-8 batting first.
In-form opener Ram, showed his class yet again, stroking a handful of fours in his 60 off 83. Lewis, the Guyana vice-captain, was a bit more aggressive as he smashed five fours along with 3 sixes on his way to 60 from 55 balls.
Captain Adrian Hetmyer (48) narrowly missed out on what would have been his second successive half-century, while Khush Seegobin (19), Shamar Apple (18) and Darvir Seegobin (18) steered the lower-order.
Leeward Islands bowling saw J’Quan Anthanzae (2-35) and medium-pacer Shawn Harris (2-53) emerging as the two front-line wicket-takers.
In reply, Leewards were left on 111 after losing all their wickets in 35.4 overs with pacer Tayari Tonge finishing as their top-scorer with 28 (4×4 1×6), as they never got going throughout the chase.
The Guyanese bowling attack then spoke for itself as the trio of Arif Khan (2-40), Rivaldo Pereira (2-11) and Ram, who returned to grab 2-32, along with Hetmyer who finished with 1-10, ran roughshod over their opponents.
In other games, Barbados beat Windwards by 192 runs after posting 297 all out, thereafter bowling out their opponents for 105.
Trinidad and Tobago also picked up a crucial win after they handed Jamaica an 8 wicket defeat. T&T made 102-2 chasing a paltry 101 all out made by the Jamaicans who batted first.
