Strom Troppers overcome Knight Warriors as WCC Untouchable Sounds U19 40-over tourney commences
Kaieteur News – Storm Troppers overcame Knight Warriors by seven runs when the Wakenaam Cricket Committee/Untouchable Sounds U19 40-over tournament commenced on Saturday last.
Storm Troppers took first strike at the Wakenaam Community Center ground in Good Success and managed 176 all out in 27.2 overs.
Opener Ramesh Ramnarine struck 50 while Gladewin Henry made 41 and Tomesh Persaud 28. Mohandass Surujpaul grabbed 4-25 from 7.2 overs while Nazaam Mohamed captured 4-28 from five overs and Trivel Evans 2-42.
Knight Warriors were bowled out for 169 in 33.4 overs in reply. Evans scored 69, Nazam Mohamed got 28 and Virendra Pooran 26. Ramesh Ramnarine took 2-6, Henry 2-15 and Devendra Hansraj 2-16.
