Kaieteur News – The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) will soon be constructing two new wells at La Bonne Intention (LBI) and Annandale, East Coast Demerara (ECD). The two wells are estimated to cost $253,772,700.
The projects, which aim at improving residents in the communities access to potable water, were opened recently at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office which revealed that the works at both LBI and Annandale is pegged at $ $126,886,350 each.
This year, GWI was allocated some $17.7B to undertake several interventions in the water sector.

Guyana National Bureau of Standards
Procurement of ATV’s and Laboratory Lots 1-3.
Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce
Selection of Consultants/Firm Market Representation Services in North American Markets (USA and Canada).
Ministry of Education
Repairs to Roof- Saint Stanislaus College.
Ministry of Health
Professional Engineering Consultancy Services for the Design of Several Facilities for the Ministry of Health.
National Communications Network
Supply of Managed Network 48 Port Switch Wall Mount Network Cabinet & Network Recalling.
Ministry of Human Services and Social Security
Supply of 20ft containers for Lot 1- Barima Waini (1) Lots 2- Cuyuni Mazaruni Region Seven (7).
Guyana Water Inc.
Drilling and Construction of Potable Water Well at La Bonne Intention.
Drilling and Construction of Potable Water Well at Annadale.
