Britton, Franklin to miss WTT World Championships
Kaieteur Sports – Shemar Britton and Christopher Franklin were as players for this year’s World Table Tennis (WTT) World Championships in South Africa, however, Kaieteur News understands that the two players will miss the May 20 event.

Britton and Franklin were scheduled to face off against Australians Lee Yonghun and Dixon Xavier in the Round-of-64 at the WTT event in Durban.
It is unclear why Britton and Franklin did not make the trip to South Africa, with officials from the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) unresponsive to queries.
At the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, Britton and Franklin reached the Men’s Doubles Round-of-16 where they lost to Nigerians Olajide Omotayo and Amadi Omeh. (Rawle Toney)
