Kaieteur News – Following the allocations of house lots on the East Coast of Demerara, the Ministry of Housing and Water, through the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA), is planning to spend some $2.7 billion on infrastructural development works in those new housing areas.
The projects were revealed during the opening of tenders on Friday at the National Procurement and Tender Board (NPTAB) office, where works are slated for Non-Pareil and Enterprise on the East Coast. These works, according to the Ministry’s engineer estimates, are slated to cost $2,752,050,422.
The infrastructural works, Kaieteur News understands include the installation of electricity and water network, drainage and roads works just to name a few.
It was reported that in July while at the ‘Building Expo’, some 5000 house lots were allocated to persons in Regions Three and Four including areas such as Non-Pareil and Enterprise through the CH&PA’s ‘Dream Realised’ programme.
