Kaieteur News – Volleyball continues to be one of the more active sports locally of recent and players will not be short of action this weekend when the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) hosts their Senior Tournament at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) on Homestretch Avenue tomorrow from 09:00hrs.The one-day tournament will feature four teams namely, Eagles Volleyball Club, Young Achievers Volleyball Club, Castrol Strikers and Bartica Warriors Volleyball Club and the tournament is being played under the theme, “Taking Volleyball to Higher Heights in Demerara.”
This event follows closely on the heels of the inaugural Power Zone championship organised by North Nation Inc. in late October where Port Mourant Training Center of Berbice walked about with a total of $150,000 in cash prizes.
