Kaieteur News- Azrudeen Shaw emerged champion of the S Jagmohan Hardware & Construction Services Golf Tournament which was contested on Saturday with a total of 33 of Guyana’s top golfers.
The competition was keenly contested as the top three players ended in a three way tie on 38 points, hence the count back system was used.
In second and third position respectively were Shanella London and Mike Mangal, while Richard Haniff took fourth place on 37 points.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony President of Lusignan Golf Club Patanjilee Persaud thanked the players and sponsors. “We would also like to urge them to support the future events at the club, and supporting the sport of golf, as we know in this time the game of golf is COVID friendly but it is also a sport that allows persons to be family oriented and safe.”
Project Manager of S Jagmohan Hardware & Construction Services Vidya Mangalram noted that the company was proud to be a part of the prestigious tournament. She further went on to state that S Jagmohan is one of Guyana’s leading construction companies and hence because it is a part of their core social responsibilities to be on board of the tournament, the company is extremely honoured.
