Kaieteur News – A father is presently in police custody assisting with investigations after he accidently crushed his 20-month-old son to death with his truck yesterday.
The toddler, Adan Kiritpaul, was killed sometime before 12:00hrs at his Mahaica East Coast Demerara (ECD) home.
According to police, Kiritpaul’s father was reversing his truck out of the yard when he looked into his review mirror and saw something stuck in the wheels. He reportedly stopped the truck immediately and jumped out to check what it was. The man discovered his son lying motionless with his head crushed.
Police were summoned to scene and the toddler was taken to the Mahaicony Public Hospital where he officially pronounced dead.
