Dear Editor,
Trust Mr. Eusi Kwayana to write a letter to embellish his true to lifelong form “gimme gimme” clamour as he did in the KN of 1-2-21 titled: “An uncomplimentary picture.”
Having listened to a Voice of Guyana broadcast aimed at foreigners, we saw Mr. Kwayana wrote: “I feel bound to recommend to government media that equal time should be offered as early as possible to the official representatives of the previous Coalition government to respond as it sees fit, and is inclined to do, to the indictment placed into the public area by the Honourable Minister of Finance on December 29, 2020.”
While one cannot begrudge Mr. Kwayana’s efforts to hear from his side, one must be reminded that he never fails to display his historical bias.
As a keen observer of Guyana’s politics, does Mr. Kwayana not expect the Opposition to have recourse to press releases to make their rebuttal? In a democracy, Mr. Kwayana should know it’s up to the reporter and editor to make a balanced presentation in the media.
Sultan Mohamed
