DEAR EDITOR,
As I compose this letter, a great sense of uncertainty for the next two days consumes me. I await with bated breath the decision to be made by Madam Justice Claudette Singh. This decision, whether to accept the Chief Election Officer’s report or not, can either allow democracy to flourish, or condemn it to an unnatural death. During this wait, Madam Chairwoman will be the most important person in Guyana, as she ponders whether to uphold the votes of thousands or to disenfranchise these Guyanese.
This decision may be a difficult one to make, but, for the future of democracy in Guyana, please take the right and lawful actions. The entire of Guyana will be in your debt.
Yours truly,
Jordon Nelson
