DEAR EDITOR,
It is abundantly clear that the 2nd March 2020 elections are being rigged.
As one Social Activist/Commentator puts it: it is not a grab for power per se. It is more a grab for the oil money.
This is because whoever is in power will be able to practice political patronage, whereby they will dole out money to their supporters and to those connected to them.
This is because of the ethnocentric developments that take place in Guyana. This Activist highlighted that once we stick to our ethnocentric development formula, there would be no need to hire who is best for the job.
Essentially, the party card system is with us.
