On Sunday February 16th, 2020, Constable 23337 Dewani Lampkin, who is a serving member of the Guyana Police Force for the past five years and is
attached to the Tactical Services Unit (TSU), contested in the Mashramani Boxing Extravaganza held at the National Gymnasium where he was successful.
Constable Lampkin, who is one of the upcoming talent in the amateur boxing arena, contested the junior welterweight category where he defeated his opponent Orin Bancroft in a split decision match, winning a Gold Medal.
Constable Lampkin has been boxing for approximately 12 years, both locally and internationally and has contested in a total of 67 fights with 55 wins and 12 losses.
His next fight is expected to be during the Patrick Forde Memorial tournament fixed for July.
The Guyana Police Force wishes to congratulate Constable Lampkin on his achievements and urges that he continues to stay focused and make the Force and Country proud.
