The 2020 Bounty Farm Ltd Handicap Squash Tournament began on Wednesday evening at the usual venue, Georgetown Club with thirteen matches in the A and Open Categories. It was a night full of upsets in Category A as both of the top seeded players were beaten.
Shiloh Asregado (-5) lost in straight games to Kassie Walcott (13) 15-8, 15-9 while Joshua Verwey (-5) was beaten by Grant Fernandes (10) 15-1, 15-4. In two other matches match which went all the way down to the wire, Tiana Gomes (13) beat Rylee Rodrigues (9) 15-8, 11-15, 15-14 and Lajuan Munroe (2) defeated Brenno DaSilva (10) 11-15, 15-12, 15-14.
In the Open category, there were comfortable wins for Abosaide Cadogan (0) who beat Tian Edwards (12) 15-12, 15-14, Louis Da Silva (10) who cruised past Ian Mekdeci (-2) 15-2, 15-10 and Zachary Persaud (10) who proved too good for Lydia Fraser (7) winning 15-2, 15-9.

Matches continued last night and will motor on tonight with the finals slated for Sunday from 11:00hrs.
