Two persons, a brother and sister, are hospitalised after a minibus and car collided on the Reliance Public road on the Essequibo Coast yesterday
afternoon.
Reports are that the accident occurred sometime between 16:00hrs and 16:45 hrs. While information remains sketchy at this time, this publication understands that a man and his school-aged sister have been hospitalised as a result.Based on information received, the car (PMM 1926) and the minibus (BXX 5549) were heading in opposite directions. Further reports indicated that the driver of the speeding minibus may have lost control of his vehicle and it collided with the car, before both vehicles came to rest in a nearby trench.
The occupants of the motor car were taken to the Suddie Public Hospital, while the driver was taken into custody.
