GMR&SC Clash of Champions International race meet Choke Gas Station confirms sponsorship of Starlet Cup in 2019

The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) has secured sponsorship from Choke Gas station for the Starlet Cup at this month’s Clash of Champions two-day international race meet.
According to a release from the club, Choke Gas Station, which is located on the East Coast of Demerara, has opted to continue its support for the unique category that is only competed in Guyana.
Choke’s representative Christopher Singh contended that he is impressed by what he has seen out of the sport for the last couple of years, hence his decision to come on board.
Meanwhile, the club stated, “We are elated to enter into a partnership with Choke Gas Station for the Starlet Cup at the Clash of Champions race meet which will see competitors from North America, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago going head to head.”
“We see it as a major plus for the sport, showing us that there are sponsors out there who are willing to invest in the sport thus allowing it to thrive”, the release continued.
Among those confirmed to compete in the Starlet Cup are Riaz Allie along with 2019 winner, Anand Ramchand and former champion, Motielall Deodass.
GMR&SC’s Clash of Champions International race meet is set for November 16 & 17 and it will feature a 23-race programme inclusive of the final leg of the SR3 Caribbean Cup that will feature a field of no less than 10 radical cars.
Apart from the Starlet Cup and the radicals, there will be action in the Street and Sport Tuner classes, Groups 2, 3 and 4 as well as bikes.
Admission to the venue will cost $2000, children will enter free.
