Nicholas Boyer of National Hardware (Guyana) Limited has been elected as President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to the Chamber, the Council, which consists of 21 members, held its first statutory meeting on Monday to elect from its body a new Executive Management Committee (EMC) for the year 2019/2020.
The new EMC comprises a President, Senior Vice President, Junior Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Immediate Past President.
In addition to Boyer, the Senior Vice President elected was Timothy Tucker of Rid-O-Pes; Shaleeza Shaw- Junior Vice President of Guyana Bank For Trade and Industry; Anjie Lambert – Secretary from Project
Development Consultancy; Kester Hutson – Treasurer from Dapper Technology and Deodat Indar- Immediate Past President of Sterling Products Limited.
Also in the new GCCI council are Javed Khan; Doris Lewis;
Samuel Arjoon; Shanti Persaud; Shaam Outar; Keon Assanah Howard; Khemraj Goberdhan; Komal Ramnauth; Navin Prashad; Gerry Gouveia Jr.; Derek Stoby; Macaela Cameron; Marisca Jordan; Briony Tiwarie and Gavin Ramsoondar.
