Ram & Mc Rae yesterday carried the glee of the Christmas season to 25 students of the Patentia Primary School.
The visit to the school saw 25 students receiving packed food hampers, bag packs containing school supplies, bread and $5,000 along with snacks.
Eight students also received bicycles to use as a mode of transport for school.
The organization was represented by Chartered Accountant Christopher Ram, who in an address to the parents urged them to grant their children the opportunity to an education and desist from being dependent on anyone.
According to the accountant, the donations are a mean hopefully aiding the households of the sugar workers.
He advised the parents that even though times may be hard, especially with the closure of the Wales Sugar Estate they should try as much as possible to ensure their children attend school.
The generous donations were warmly accepted by the teachers, students and parents.
This publication understands that the company is visiting Skeldon Primary and Rose Hall Primary, both in Berbice today.
