The Farfan & Mendes Junior Skill Level Squash Tournament continued on Thursday night at the Georgetown Club with matches in eight of the nine categories being contested. In Category A Michael Alphonso continued his impressive run with another straight set victory, this time over Gianni Carpenter winning 11- 3, 11- 9, 11- 4 while in category B Nicholas Verwey was equally as impressive as he disposed of Abosaide Cadogan with relative ease scores being 11 – 4, 11 – 6, 11 – 6.
Also in category B Kirsten Gomes had a much tougher time needing four games to eventually beat Mohyryan Baksh 11 – 4, 7 – 11, 11 – 7, 11 – 8. In category F Grant Fernandes remained unbeaten after his defeats of Matthew Spooner 11 – 3, 11 – 8 and Noah Rahaman 11 – 3, 11 – 4 and was crowned champion in this category.
