1) Adam Harris’s lengthy piece ( Knews 21 August) on potential Oriental despotism i.e. China ( ref Prof Amos Wilson on You tube) now well entrenched in Guyana and the Caribbean is timely.
He recalls two separate but related matters.
1. The irate Chinese ambassador who after reading a previous article turned up at Kaieteur News to make his displeasure felt and asking pointedly “Is it because you think we are weak?”
2. Outside some Chinese stores in Regent Street guards are to be seen toting some rather large guns..
In the unlikely event that our current self-absorbed and rather microphone phobic President Granger dares to fire a warning shot in the general direction of Regent Street on behalf of the economically oppressed beleaguered and disrespected working people in Georgetown (Africans especially) who according to Adam ( the Original African man) Harris are beginning to feel uncomfortable “window shopping” inside Chinese shops, two questions arise for the current Chinese envoy ensconced in Georgetown with eyes firmly fixed over the seawall upon the Atlantic horizon; i.e. Exxon’s Oil Rigs.
JUST ASKING…

(Kaieteur News) – The PPP Gov’t will give an arm and a leg to get the MV Barima off the front-pages. I go so far as to assert that some would part with their left nut to hustle the tragedy of the MV Barima out of the media altogether.
