Dear Editor,
I would like to draw the Ministry of Communities’ attention to the deplorable condition of the road of Phase Three Good Hope, ECD. This village is divided into three phases, and Phase One and Two have accessible roads.
It has been almost eight years since the road along this route has been in a dilapidated state due to the total neglect of the Ministry of Communities, who is responsible for maintenance and repairs. This village has an occupancy rate of over 85% and there are a number of potholes that are two to three feet deep and wide.
Imagine the situation the rainy seasons.
The state of the roads is so bad, no taxies are willing to come into the village and when they do so, it is at an exorbitant cost. It seems like the only thing this Government is focused on is the oil sector, overpasses, and roundabouts, while the hard-working tax-paying citizens are forced to live like migrants, in a village that can best be described as the underdeveloped back dam of the 19th century.
Sincerely,
N. Bacchus
