Jagdeo hold a press conference yesterday. He tell dem reporters that de meeting wid Sir Pall Bearer is a publicity stunt. And even that last word dem boys nearly exchange de fuss T fuh another letter.
Anyhow Jagdeo seh people are not paid for having brain. Dem only rewarded for using it intelligently. He seh that is why he suh successful and he gat Pradoville and no wife.
This govt ain’t got brains. Dem bring a British man fuh lecture dem pun oil. De fuss thing de man open de lecture wid was how dem must live wid the contract dem sign wid all dem oil company.
He tell dem if dem want change it, dem mustn’t do it now; dem must wait till de second and third go round. Dem boys want know Why?
Sir Pall Bearer seh if dem try to pull back de contract now it spell doom fuh de country.
He go li’l more far. He seh if de govt tear it up, now, nobody else gun come wid any contract at all. He advised dem to wait couple years and then tear up all dem oil contract.
De man seh Guyana must try fuh get better terms on any new contracts.
In the first place what this man can tell Guyana that de people ain’t already know? He is British and this govt already sign a lopsided and one-sided contract wid a British oil company.
Instead, dem boys seh de govt coulda invite we neighbor, de Trinidad PM to come and give that same lecture.
De PM would have tell de govt de opposite to de British man–renegotiate all dem contracts now because all new and not a barrel of oil ain’t come up yet.
Dem boys don’t understand what Sir Pall Bearer saying. By de time Guyana renegotiate pun de fuss go round de oil basin gun be empty. Since dem don’t have nutten lef wha you negotiating, Soulja Bai? Think about it.
Just last week talking at de Hyatt Hotel, Trinidad PM seh dem use to get $20 billion a year from dem energy sector. Now dem getting $1 billion a year. Is now, after so many years, dem realize de Kak dem was getting.
De PM now pulling back dem contracts to get a better deal. But dem boys seh de boat done gone a falls and dem basin almost empty.
Talk half and don’t allow Guyana to fall in de same boat wid Trinidad.
