Tomorrow, the Budhan Memorial Turf Club at Number 66 Village, Corentyne Berbice, will come alive when they run off a seven-card horserace meet that will carry a total prize purse of over $2million.
The meet will feature many of the best J and lower class horses in the country battling in a seven race programme for the attractive prizes on offer. Over 50 horses have entered and the action promises to be exciting. According to Compton Sancho, the track is in excellent shape and set for a grand day of horseracing. He noted that many of the horses have been turning in impressive times during practice and fans will be in of a treat.
Among some of the horses on show are Uprising, Not this time, Irish Boy, Plane Land, Release the beast, She is Royal and Big man in town and others.
The action starts at 1:00pm sharp and many side attractions will be at the venue to aid the day’s entertainment for the fans. A well stocked food and drink bar, music accompaniment by Uprising Sound System and entertainment for the children will all be part of the excitement.
