The Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) is presently preparing a male and female volleyball teams to participate in a U-20 tournament in Neighbouring French Guiana.
The GVF was invited by the French Guiana Volleyball Federation to participate in the three country tournament which also includes Suriname. The tournament is scheduled to be held from 3rd to the 5th November.
Male and female squad have been selected by the GVF selection committee headed by For national captain and present national Coach Levi Nedd and are currently in training for the competition.
The two squads are in training at the National Gymnasium under the guidance of Nedd and some other coaches.
The Guyana teams when selected are expected to depart these shores on the 2nd of November for the 3rd to 5th tournament.
The finals set of training and selection of the two touring parties will take place this weekend (28th and 29th) at the National Gymnasium. (Samuel Whyte)
