Mark Williams had been chosen to lead Essequibo in the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board inter county U-19 tournament. Sachin Persaud will serve as his deputy.
The full squad reads; Mark Williams, Sachin Persaud, Joshua Jones, Sheldon Charles, Azeemol Habib, Kurt Lovell, Chanderpaul Mohabir, Beesham Moses, Leslie Allen, Joel Fortune, Kellon Davis, Mahendra Persaud, Adrian Campbell, Quentin Sampson and Mark Ramsammy. The Coach is Andy Ramnarine and the manager is Loaknauth Persaud.
Meanwhile, Sachin Persaud XI defeated Adrian Campbell XI by 107 runs in a 50-over practice match held recently at Imam Bacchus ground.
Persaud XI batted first and scored 225 all out in 48.2 overs. Mahendra Persaud made 38, while Kellon Davis got 36 and Sachin Persaud 29. Shane Wong had 2-30 and Quentin Sampson had 2-51.
Campbell XI were bowled out for 118 all out in 28 overs in reply. Sampson scored 34; Mahendra Persaud took 3 -11 and Leslie Allen 2 -16.
