Providence with 76 games came home ahead of Mix up on 64 and All Seasons in the cellar on 60 to emerge winners of the recently staged Bel Air Lions / Supligen Domino Competition.

The winning Providence team pose with their medals and trophies following the conclusion of the presentation ceremony.
Played at the Lions Den in Enachu Street, Section ‘N’, Campbellville, thirty-two teams started the competition which was played over two days using the two in one out system, requiring eight rounds to determine the winner.
Among the twenty-two teams that were eliminated on opening day were last year’s champion Swagga Boys, Spartans and Rage leaving Masters, F&H, Providence, Transport, Mix Up, All Seasons, Specialist, Pace Setters, RSS and Trappers as the teams qualifying for final day action and a crack at the championship trophy.
In the first round, Trappers, Specialist and Transport were eliminated, while in round two F&H and Pacesetters suffered a similar fate.
In the third round, Masters joined those on the sidelines, while Mix Up drew the bye to the finals and RSS, All Seasons and Providence were left to contest the semifinals.
RSS were outclassed in the semifinals and faded after showing much potential in the earlier rounds, leaving regular rivals Providence, Mix Up and All Seasons to contest the final.
In the final, Providence started off at a blistering pace and never relinquished the lead and by the end of the fourth sitting they were obvious winners, ahead by as much as twenty plus games.
However, there was much excitement for the second position, but Mix Up held off a strong challenge by All Seasons to as the runner-up.
The player of the final award went to Marsden Beaton of Providence, who amassed the maximum 18 games, and won for himself $10,000 and a case of Supligen.
For their effort, Providence carted off $250,000, medals and the winning trophy, while Mix Up and All Seasons received $150,000 and $100,000 respectively along with trophies and medals.
The presentation ceremony was chaired by Bel Air Lions President Matthew Langevine, and presentations done by President of the Georgetown Dominoes Association (GDA), Faye Joseph and Supligen Brand Manager Mr. Gomes, who praised the Organisers for the way in which the game was organised and played and promised continued support.
The Club thanked Beepats & Co. and the Supligen Brand for supporting the civic fund raising activity and the GDA for its role in co-ordinating the tournament.
