Sans Souci Jaguars defeated G Square Cavaliers Sports Club by 17 runs to win the Kelly Dan-Jou T20 tournament which was contested on Sunday last at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground.

Led by an attacking half century from Zameer Zaman who slammed 61 (8×4 3×6), Sans Souci Jaguars posted 172-8, batting first. Zaman shared an opening stand of 75 with Safraz Mohamed who scored 30 (5×4) while all-rounder Nokta Moses slammed three fours and four maximums in a rapid 46. Dayawant Shiwnandan picked up 3-22.
G Square Cavaliers were limited to 155-9 in reply. Kamal Khan made 45 (3×4 6×4) while Jaggernauth Manbodh got 28; Moses returned to take 3-18 and pacer Olwin Paton 3-19. Jaguars were presented with a trophy and $50,000 for their winning effort while Cavaliers took home a trophy and $20,000. Moses received $10,000 for being adjudged man-of-the-match.
In his brief remarks at the presentation ceremony, Secretary of the Wakenaam Cricket Committee (WCC) Nazeer Mohamed congratulated the winners whilst expressing gratitude to the sponsor, Kelly Dan-Jou.
