A homeless man now has a home at the Camp Street Prison. He was remanded to the penitentiary for
the offence of damage to property by City Magistrate Judy Latchman.
Randolph De Mendonca denied that on July 29, at Alexander Village, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged one car rear view mirror valued $15,000 property of Ghanesh Rampersaud.
The 42-year-old defendant told the court that he does odd jobs for a living.
Police Prosecutor, Kerry Bostwick, objected to bail for the defendant on the ground that he has no fixed place of abode.
Bostwick’s objections were upheld by the Magistrate who ordered that the virtual complainant be summoned to attend court.
The matter continues on September 13.
