Family and friends of the late Kevin Layne Snr., long serving Manager of Monedderlust Football Club (MFC) will bid farewell to the former football administrator on Monday afternoon following a Thanksgiving Service at the Family Tabernacle of Worship Church, #5 Village, West Coast Berbice from 13:00hrs.
A night of reflection will be held at the #5 Ground on Friday evening from 19:00hrs where family, friends and the football fraternity will remember the late Layne and his contributions to the sport.
Layne, whose involvement in football spanned over 20-years and managed the club for the last six years of his life, died at age 38 on Saturday last. He has been credited as one of the main pillars in the history of the club which applied and was chosen as one of the first eight clubs to qualify as an Elite League Club in Guyana.
Burial will take place at the #4 Village Cemetery.
