Trophy Stall supports GAWP Charity Horserace meet Venue shifted to Bush Lot United Turf Club

Jonathan Sunich, Canadian born son of Proprietor Ramesh Sunich of the Trophy Stall, along with Coordinator Inspector Cynthia Kelly of the Fort Wellington Police Station displays some of the trophies on offer.

With just a few days to go before race day all systems are in place for the horserace meet organized by the Rising Sun Turf Club in collaboration with the B Division chapter of the Guyana Association of Women Police.
The event is slated for this Sunday, 17th July, and has been shifted to the Bush Lot United Turf Club at Sea View Park West Coast, Berbice.
There are five races listed on the day’s card with over $2M in cash trophies and other goodies available for the winners and other outstanding performers.
Over 45 horses have been entered for the meet and over the past few days the excitement has been building as the horses seem to be in top form. The owners have been using all available spaces to round out preparation and get their charges in tip top shape for the big day. A number of newly imported animals will be in action for the first time in what is expected to be an action packed day of racing.
Recently major sponsor Trophy Stall which is one of the leading trophy and souvenir entities in Guyana, apart from supplying the trophies for the day’s meet, presented a number of additional trophies to be presented to the outstanding individual performers on the day. A number of other entities, including Banks DIH Limited, Jumbo Jet, Peter Lewis Associated Construction, BM Soats, Sheriff racing Stable and Business Entity, P and P Insurance Brokers, Buddy Shivraj and Shano and Sons among others are on board.
The feature event is for horses classified E and lower with a winning purse of $300,000.
The J class race has a winning purse of $160,000 and trophy. The K class event is for a winner’s money of $140,000 and trophy. The ‘L’ class gallop has a top prize of $120,000 and trophy.
The final event is for Guyana Bred maiden two year old horses for a take home pay of $100,000 and trophy.
Other incentives on offer will be for champion jockey, champion stable and champion trainer compliments of the Trophy Stall Bourda Market and the organizers.
