E-Networks and Electronics City assist with Everest CC upgrade
E-NETWORKS and Electronics City are the two latest companies to make timely donations to the Everest Cricket Club to add to the comfort of club members and visitors alike. The Camp Road club which is arguably Georgetown’s leading cricket club, received two 42″ television sets that will be mounted in the club’s pavilion for entertainment purposes.

E-Networks, the nation’s Cable TV Internet VOIP and 4G Broadband Service provider and Electronics City, the sole distributor of RCA products in Guyana immediately agreed to the donation when approached by President of Everest CC Mr. Rajesh Singh. At the presentation in the club’s boardroom last Wednesday Singh offered hearty appreciation to both companies and assured that the club will make full use of their kind gestures. Akeem Jeffers, Manager of Electronics City said his company is overjoyed to be part of such upgrade that will make so many people happy.
The club’s pavilion was a viewing hub for the recently concluded ICC World T20 tournament which ended in India with West Indies Women and Men lifting the titles and at the finals there was an overflow of spectators flocking the lone television screen. Singh said, “This will ease the over-crowding and will make everybody comfortable.” The recently elected President took the opportunity to invite visitors to watch the ongoing Indian Premier League at the historic and scenic club.
Singh said, “The club is open to similar gestures from the private sector and friends as we seek to keep upgrading every day. We have so much to do and so much space for everyone so please come and let’s help each other.”
On 1st May this year there will be a major fundraising activity at the club where there will be a four-team softball cricket competition, a dominoes competition and a feature hardball grudge match to assist the club in sending the Master’s Team on their annual trip. This year the team is expected to go to Jamaica to play a series of matches across the island. In addition to sporting activities there will be the club’s signature fish fry and karaoke to cater for a wider cross section of supporters.
