Three awarded at Guyana Draughts Association 7th AGM
Three persons were awarded last Saturday when the Guyana Draughts Association held their Seventh Annual General Meeting

at its Head Quarters 185 Waterloo Street Georgetown. Paul D’Anjou received the award for his relentless efforts in coordinating and soliciting sponsorship for the Association, while Khemraj Pooranmall was voted best player of the year. President of the Association Mr. Jiaram was awarded for his astute leadership and captaining the winning Guyana Team in Nickerie Suriname last July.
The recipients received trophies and small cash incentives sponsored by Basil Mahadeo C.E.O Nalico/Nafico. High on the agenda at the meeting were discussions on the involvement of schools for the 50th Independence Anniversary games. All the executive members of the Association were retained for another term in office.
