The Guyana Amazon Warriors will play four matches at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence, East Bank Demerara next month.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors will square off against Jamaica Tallawahs on July 15th , then take on St. Lucia Zouks on July 17, while on July 18th they battle against Barbados Tridents before playing Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel on July 21st.
Kirk Douglas, Events Operations Officer of OPCO (Guyana) Inc. who led the delegation briefed Dr. Henry on Guyana’s preparation to host the matches.
Minister Henry said she was extremely pleased to be updated on Guyana’s preparation and indicated that her Ministry and other government agencies will provide assistance to ensure smooth running of the event.
Also present at the meeting held at the Minister’s office on Main Street were Permanent Secretary Alfred King, Mark Sookhai- Project Manager, Sabrina Panday – Stadium Staff Coordinator, Reon King – Cricket Operations Manager, Troy Peters – Media officer and George Vyphuis – Security and Safety Manager.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors, last year’s runners up, opened the tournament yesterday againt 2014 champions Babados Tridents at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
