The nation’s best bodybuilders are earnestly preparing for the 2014 edition of Flex Night International, scheduled to get underway at the National Cultural Centre Sunday December 7 and the organizers are promising top class performances.
Consequently, in an effort to ensure that all systems are in place, organizers have planned a meeting with athletes, coaches, gym managers, media representatives and other stakeholders, at the Guyana Olympic Association headquarters, Kingston Saturday November 1 starting at 13:30hrs. The occasion will also serve to launch activities. This year’s Flex Night event was officially launched on Tuesday September 30 when gym owners, sponsors and the media were hosted at the Herdmanston Lodge.
At Saturday’s briefing, athletes and gym managers will receive their Flex Night registration forms and other relevant information relating to their participation in the event. They will also be afforded an opportunity to make enquiries regarding pre-judging procedures, prizes and the format and appropriate attire for both male and female bodybuilding events.
This tournament will bring bodybuilding activities for the year to a climax and will feature male and female athletes from gyms in Georgetown, East and West Coast Demerara, Linden and Berbice. Officials are also expecting participation from three other countries. Activities are coordinated by Managing Director (Flex Night Inc.), Donald Sinclair.
