Good Success defeated Maria’s Pleasure by eight wickets at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground. Batting first, Maria’s Pleasure were skittled for 45 in 11.4 overs. Bernard Lewis made 17 as off spinner Nazeer Mohamed grabbed 3-2, medium pacer Wazir Khan 2-8 and Chandrika Ragnauth 2-12. Good Success knocked of the required target in 6.2 overs, ending on 46-2. Jaggernauth Manbodh led with 21 while Khan made 15. Lewis took 1-18.
In the second game at the said venue, Zeelandia overcame Noitgedacht SC by seven wickets. Noitgedacht took first strike and scored 153 all out in 19.5 overs. Curtis Clementson cracked 61 and Dillon Retemiah 33. Harry Sukar picked up 3-35, Darmindra Pooran 2-20 and Ajay Ghansam 2-30.
Zeelandia replied with 154-3 in 18.2 overs. Navishaul Pooran stroked 67 and Sukar supported with 33 not out. Curtis and Retemiah took one wicket each.
Good Success will take on Zeelandia and Sans Souci will play Noitgedacht in the semifinals today at the said venue.
