Family feud ends in bloodshed at horse race meet
An escalating ongoing family feud between two families of Bush Lot, Corentyne, ended in bloodshed. One member of the family was viciously chopped across the left hand by his assailant who had a chopper.
The police vehicle leaving with the assailant and the injured Barris.
The police who were present responded quickly. One rank discharged a round in the air causing the combatants to stop in their tracks.
The assailant a well known character known as Raymond, wounded one Barris, and threatened to return to finish him off.
When he made that promise he was chasing another man across the pasture when the police intervened.
Both men were taken away by the police.
Investigations are ongoing.
