Statistician Charwayne Walker continues his look at the stats relating to the meetings between Guyana and Jamaica in Regional cricket over the years.  Here is part two of his writings on the encounters.

1982 the Robert Haynes show: The 17 year old debutant, Robert Haynes, destroyed Guyana with match figures of 11 for 206 giving Jamaica a 52 runs victory.
Jamaica first innings 211 all out Everton Mattis 98, George Powell, father of Toney Powell, supported with 48, Jeffrey Dujon 20.  Bowling for Guyana Colin Croft took 4 for 26 from 122 overs, Deryck Kallicharran had 3 for 71 from 20 overs, Roger Harper 2 for 15 from 10 overs.  Guyana first innings 285 all out Skipper Faoud Bacchus top scored with 50, Andrew Lyght 44, Milton Pydanna 37, Clyde Butts 35, Colin Croft 27 not out.  Bowling for Jamaica, 17 year old debutant leg spinner Robert Haynes took 5 for 87 from 29 overs, C. Thompson took 2 for 25.
Jamaica second innings 435 for 6 declared, Hubert Chung 155, Richard Austin 118, Jeffrey Dujon 66 not out, Everton Mattis 41.  Bowling for Guyana Roger Harper took 3 for 95 from 40 overs.  Guyana second innings 309 all out, Faoud Bacchus 79, Andrew Lyght 69, Clive Lloyd 38, Timur Mohamed 22.  Bowling for Jamaica, Haynes took 6 from 119 from 34 overs, Jamaica won by 52 runs.

Guyana first innings 411 all out, Andrew Lyght 122, William White 105, debutant Andrew Jackman 78, Rabindranauth Seeram 37.  Bowling for Jamaica, Kenneth McLeod took 3 for 49 from 17:3 overs, Marlon Tucker 3 for 80 from 39 overs.

Delorn Johnson (11) was bowled by leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo (1-21) at 109-9 before the 24-year-old Permaul, who bettered his previous best of 6-39 at this level, wrapped up the Windwards innings when he had Nelon Pascal caught behind for a duck. Narsingh Deonarine (2-35) offered support to his Albion club mate.
When Guyana began their reply, Sewnarine Chattergoon (14) got going with three boundaries off Pascal before he dragged a ball from the Grenadian onto his leg stump with the score on 19-1.
Assad Fudadin, who made 82 in the first innings, joined 17-year-old left-hander Tagenarine Chanderpaul and the pair took Guyana to 28-1 when rain stopped play at 11:07hrs. With the shower getting heavier Lunch was taken with Chanderpaul on eight and Fudadin on five.
After Lunch, Chanderpaul and Fudadin saw the fifty posted in the 24th over with consecutive boundaries in successive overs from Chanderpaul. The West Indies under-19 player first went back and cut Sebastien to the backward point boundary before lofting Left-arm spinner Alton Bobb for a disdainful six over mid-wicket.
Fudadin, who batted very purposefully in the first innings, was strangely a lot more cautious yesterday although he danced into Sebastien and dumped him for four to long-off.
Chanderpaul changed gear; depositing Bobb back over his head for a boundary and sweeping the spinner in enterprising fashion behind square for four in the same over as the South Americans picked up their run rate after a slow but solid start to the post Lunch session.
Fudadin (22) seemed unfortunate to be LBW to Sebastien, who removed Vishaul Singh in similar fashion next ball, as Guyana slipped to 68-3 after Chanderpaul and Fudadin had added 49 for the second wicket.
Deonarine, with three ducks in a row and four in the competition so far, averted the hat-trick with a pugnacious hoik over the head of the bowler for four before a majestic cover driven boundary signaled that Deonarine was in a positive frame of mind.
Deonarine, the only Guyanese with 1,000 runs in a season, did the bulk of the scoring with the rock solid Chanderpaul playing the supporting role and another shower threatened to add to the drama with the fourth
